I went to mud school in 1974 with IMCO Services and worked throughout Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico. Moved to East Texas in 1982 with Chromalloy as a Senior Engineer.

July 1992 - June 2004

Area Technical Advisor, M-I (Ark-La-Tex)

My responsibilities included writing and presenting mud programs and the supervision of mud engineers. I also had technical sales and presentation responsibilities.

August 2004 - January 2010

District Manager, Ambar Drilling Fluids (Ark-La-Tex)

I was responsible for hiring and supervising mud engineers. I wrote programs, cost estimates and made technical presentations to operators. I was also a technical advisor for problem wells and responsible for regional sales.

I managed the payroll, budget, sales and 30+ engineers and consultants. I also wrote mud programs, cost estimates and supervised mud engineers on challenging projects.

Roustabout/Plant Operator, NOV Fluid Control (Tyler, Texas)

In my first oilfield job I moved from a roustabout to plant operator in 3 months. I operated an oil-based mud plant in East Texas servicing over 20 oil-based mud jobs simultaneously.

January 2011 - January 2012

Warehouseman, Ulterra Drilling Technologies (Tyler, Texas)

My responsibilities included shipping, receiving and inventory while training in sales. I also conducted weekly safety meetings to stay in compliance with OSHA.

January 2012 - December 2012

Plant Manager, NOV Fluid Control (South Texas/North Louisiana)

I oversaw the day to day operations of an oil-based mud plant in South Texas as well as in North Louisiana. Supervised the building, shipping, receiving and inventory of fluids and all materials.
